The Omzien en Gedenken Foundation is committed to preserving the memory and commemorating the events of the Second World War, with a special focus on the Biesbosch and surrounding regions. In doing so, we aim to make the connection to the present and promote awareness of the idea that we should be grateful every day for being able to live in peace and freedom.

 

Our foundation supports activities that:

• Keep the history of the line crossers and the resistance alive

• Promote remembrance and education, especially within the education system

• Preserve the memory of courage, solidarity and sacrifice
